In -95 days, the city of Copenhagen will host the 2009 U.N. Convention on Climate Change. Cop15. The US's participation in these negotiations is crucial. In 1997, the US failed to join the rest of the world and adopt the Kyoto protocol. We cannot miss this vital opportunity.

The U.S. Senate must pass the American Clean Energy & Security Act of 2009 before the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change in Copenhagen this December, or it is unlikely an international agreement on climate change will be reached.

The effort will not be easy. Many powerful lobbies strongly oppose the bill, despite it being an essential last step for a successful meeting in Copenhagen this December. Given the opposition, the success of the U.N. Convention hinges on your support of the U.S. Senate climate change bill.

makeUSgreen is a collaborative poster project advocating that the US set an example for the rest of the world at the upcoming Cop15 summit, the last opportunity for progressive, global action before current international climate laws expire.
